Compared to previous API performance catergories the API SP additive package brings performance enhancements in almost all dimensions. These enhancements are seen mainly in fuel economy, fuel economy retention, deposit & sludge reduction, oil oxidation resistance, superior wear resistance and enhanced low speed pre-ignition protection.

Suitable for vehicles requiring 5W30 viscosities and requiring API SP performance grade. Safe for use where 10W30 viscosities are required. Backward compatible, meets API SP and supersedes previous categories.
